VOLUNTEER TRAINING COURSE

The Hospice Home Support volunteers training course covers topics such as:-

• Listening skills
• Palliative care
• Bereavement
• Personal growth & self awareness

Hospice Home Support is affiliated to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham and offers support to patients living at home who suffer an illness that no longer responds to curative treatment.

Dr. Maggie Guy, Chairman of Hospice Home Support and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice says ‘We recognise the great stress caused by serious illness, both to the patient and to those in the caring role, and our scheme helps patients to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.’
