Hospice Home Support
Being seriously ill, or looking after someone who is seriously ill, causes great stress
and anxiety. It can be lonely and tiring too.
Hospice Home Support volunteers can help in all sorts of practical ways:
Shopping
Ironing
Taking the patient on outings
Helping with children
Accompanying patients on hospital visits
Allowing the caregiver a few hours off for a well-earned break
Frequently the greatest gift that Hospice Home Support volunteers can give is to sit
and listen.
Hospice Home Support is affiliated to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
